From the Archives: India 2013

Warm air whipped around my face as various smells - petrol, urine, tarmac - flushed through my nose. Riding in the back of a tuk-tuk through a night time Mumbai, I could not believe I was actually in India. A friend of mine was due to marry a girl from Hyderabad in Andra Pradesh and so I had made voyage across the continents with two comrades to be present at the wedding. And of course, spend a couple of weeks exploring the magnificent, wild and colourful, subcontinent. What follows here is a mere taster of the encounters of three weeks in India, touching on the ‘Golden Triangle’ in the north, a visit to an orphanage in the southern state of Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad.
